Long before he became a stylist, Michael knew he wanted to be a “maker.” At home, that means anything from making up a reason to redo a space to making up conversations with his cats, Parker and June. At work, he makes magic on set, using his background in graphic design and visual displays to guide the look and feel of the brand. He describes his design style as “super-eclectic”—think old meets new, mid-century meets rustic, with lots of textures and layers and always a little whimsy thrown in. But that could change in a hot second—after all, he’s come a long way since his days of beaded curtains and Madonna posters on the walls.
